Relay for Life Waterloo. It's a festive and inspiring family event to raise funds for cancer. Volunteer. Donate. Form a team and get involved.

Relay for Life - International Community and Waterloo is a movement in which members of expatriate communities in Belgium and Waterloo residents, show solidarity with people affected by cancer while raising funds for the Belgian Cancer Foundation.

The 2026 edition will take place on 13-14 June in Waterloo and promises to be a great edition.  Each of the previous editions has welcomed more than 600 participants. The euros raised help the Belgian Cancer Foundation to fulfil its missions.

In 2025, they raised over 40,000 euros. This year, the aim is to raise even more.  

How can you get involved?

Form a team: groups of colleagues, family, friends... Anyone can create a team to take part. It's a great way to encourage camaraderie and a sense of community, while having fun and achieving a worthwhile goal. For example, some of the teams include AMCHAM, DG SANTE (European Commission), schools, sports clubs...

Survivors:  VIP guests at the Relay are people who have battled cancer or are currently undergoing treatment. They can register free of charge and take part in a programme including meals, massages, discussion groups and mutual support.

Volunteer: they need many volunteers to help set up and dismantle and run our various stands during the event. It's also a great opportunity to give back to the community.

Make a donation: All donations are welcome. They can take the form of a tax-deductible monetary donation or merchandise for our tombola.
