Brussels British Community Association

The Brussels British Community Association (BBCA) is a focal point for the British community in the Brussels area, open to organisational and individual membership.  The role of the BBCA is:

  • to be an umbrella organisation providing visibility and networking opportunities for member groups

  • to represent the British community on major issues of concern to the whole community

  • to be a link to sources of information for British expatriates - and to complement other sources available

The BBCA covers Brussels plus the provinces of Brabant , Hainaut, Liege, Namur and Luxembourg. The Antwerp British Community Association covers the northern part of the Belgium  http://www.abca-antwerp.be/

UK nationals resident in Belgium before 31 December 2020 need to apply for a new residence card (M-card) under the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement.

You must apply for the new card by 31 December 2021.

There have been technical difficulties in the initial deployment of the M-card, but these appear to have been resolved.

See our new information article on residency under Brexit, the M-card and the application process.
