From Sunday 1 March the speed limit in the streets around the Ixelles ponds will be 30kph. The new low speed zone extends the existing 30kph area around the Flagey Cultural Centre to all of the avenues that run along the ponds, such as Eperons d’Or and Général de Gaulle, and between the ponds.

There is no grace period for the new speed limits: as of Sunday, anyone caught speeding around the ponds will be fined.
