2024 is big year for elections. And Brussels and Belgium is no exception. On 9 June 2024 the Belgian federal election is taking place along with European Parliament and Belgian regional elections. And on 13 October Belgian municipal/ commune elections take place. Restless.brussels is hosting a special online information session with Thomas Huddleston, who previously ran the Vote Brussels campaign, focusing on issues around registering international residents to vote. The webinar will take place on Monday 4 March from 19h00.

The webinar will explore issues related to the electoral rights of Belgian citizens and residents, in particular, in advance of the municipal elections in October.

The BBCA will also be producing information materials over the next few months to support the participation of international residents in Belgium in local democracy and to help ‘newly minted’ Belgian citizens to exercise their democratic rights and obligations.
